Our Volunteer Deb with Missy in the Backpack

Volunteering at ATRHC can be extremely rewarding. Volunteers can
come for any length of time and work on any projects that suit your tastes.
We have volunteer opportunities in all areas: Administrative, data entry,
newsletter, fund raising, adoptions, working with the dogs, bathing, brushing
and general grooming.
Volunteers should plan on at least an hour for your first visit so we can
introduce you to everyone and let you know about special needs dogs.
Because we are a rehabilitation organization we work with abused and neglected
dogs. These animals are in the worst shape of their lives and have come
here to regain their dignity and self esteem. They are shy and withdrawn.
Volunteering here can teach you many things; like learning how to groom your
own dog; or learning obedience techniques; also learning how a non-profit
works and what is involved in running a non-profit organization.
We need volunteers to help us because the dogs and the organization has many
needs. It is far too time consuming for one or two people to do on their
own. So if you have some extra time and want to go home feeling really good
about helping dogs in need, give us a call.
