Hi Samantha and Jeri,
Just thought I would drop you a line to tell you that
Buddy is doing fine. I think he's happy here; he just loves Joey. Joey took a bit
longer to warm up, but now I think he's happy to have a friend around.
Thanks for doing such a great job with little
Buddy. He is a dog who just wants to please. He is also very good with
all his commands (except he is still hell on a leash) and hadn't had too many in-house
accidents. All in all, its a good deal for all of us.
I'm attaching a few pictures of the 'boys'. Its actually hard to get
them to stay still for longer than five seconds, so the pictures aren't
quite as cute as I had hoped. They both also have those 'refelective
eyes!'
Regards,
Lisa

Dear Jeri and Samantha,
Here is a picture of our darling Maggie sitting on one of her favorite
places. She can see out the window onto the driveway where our car comes and goes.
She adored Walt and goes with him, along with our big dog Commander whenever possible.
Sometimes she has to stay home, as does Commander, so she waits patiently on the back of the
chair.
Since this picture was taken we do not have her trimmed as a poodle anymore, but
have let her become very fluffy. We think it's very becoming. Her little ears come
down over her face more then in the picture.
I talked to you, Samantha, probably back in April and said I would send a contribution. How
I wish it could be much more.
The work you are doing is absolutely priceless in helping dogs to recover and be placed
in homes.
We have our property on T.V. Hwy. in the process of being sold and will be someplace
(no idea yet) bye September, if all goes well.
We trust things will work out so you can continue with the wonderful work you are doing.
Fondly,
Walt & Kathy

Dear Samantha,
Thanks again for your help and patience with the silky adoption. I
received his paperwork today. We have named him Quincy
and he has really settled in nicely at our house. He seems at ease and it's
almost as if he's been here for a month! He really has a great personality.
Thanks again
Jim
PS. My husband was surprised and thrilled!

Samantha & Jeri,
Thought you would enjoy this picture. She does sit, heel, down, shake,
wave, happy dog spins, and want a treat? (licks her chops).
She has progressed to where she may growl if someone tries to touch her
and she doesn't want it, but no snapping or biting. She has
filled out some and the vet says we'll wait on the xray unless the leg seems
to bother her more then it is now.
God bless you for your sacrificial generosity toward our friends the animals.
Wish I could afford to give you money to equal how much love
Sarah has brought into my life!
Best Wishes
Jackie & Sarah

Dear Samantha and Jeri,
My husband and I adopted Katie on 2/20 and are absolutely
thrilled with her! In an effort to help you provide for the dogs you rescue,
we're returning Jeri's check to us, and making a small donation of our own.
Katie has adapted very quickly, and is quickly becoming the household leader.
She sleeps in bed with us, and has become fast friends with our angora rabbit.
She's an absolute angel, and I can't thank you enough for getting her back on
her feet so we could meet her. The work you do with these dogs is extraordinary,
and you greatly improved our lives. Our other two dogs -Chelsea and Talousse -
have wanted a leader since we lost our beloved Cindee in January. Our dogs mean
the world to us, and we will always be grateful to you for Katie.
Thank You!
Brenda & David

Dear Jeri & Samantha,
Quick note to send along the adorable Scottie Dog socks I found at
Freddy's yesterday ... Enjoy!
Teddy is developing the most fun, lovable personality! Sometimes in the
evening he will walk into the living room, jump up on the sofa, and give us kisses
on the nose for apparently no reason, then lay down with his head and front
paws in a lap. Give a sigh, and stay there until we move. In so many ways he
seems to be saying he is so happy to be our Scottie Dog!
He went fishing with Jerry yesterday and came home standing in the
bow looking out just as cute and proud of himself as he could be. Was out for
hours and did very well.
Still will not walk down stairs. Runs up, jumps from what must be a
dizzying height for a Scottie Dog, but won't walk down stairs. So we carry
him. He loves it. Heather looks at him as thought to say, "You Woose".
They play together inside and out. Heather is the best at fetch ...
but Teddy is faster, so he usually gets the ball and sits down with it.
Both are on a diet ... exercise ... Teddy went to visit Heather's
groomer, and he has the beginning of a nice straight kilt now instead of the ruffle.
His head is so pretty. Out from under those brows has emerged eyes like the Gus Man ...
smaller version of. One of the things we like best is that he does so many "Teddy" things,
and very few "Gussums". Like Heather, he spins in the kitchen when I have the dinner pans
ready to put down. Funny little pair. We love them ... we are so grateful to have
them both.
Do hope all goes well with your respective Clans and the Rescue.
Bye for now!
Myrna

Dear Prospective Adopter
Several months ago, I adopted "Sydney", my Shiba Inu, from Samantha Miller
at All Terrier Rescue. I couldn't be happier with my adoption experience
and highly recommend All Terrier Rescue to others. In my opinion, it is a
wonderfully run private adoption and rehabilitation service for dogs. I only
wish there were more programs like it so that more dogs could be saved and
placed in loving homes.
When I set out to find a dog, I was specifically looking for one that was
already living in a home environment so I would be able to observe the animals
true behavior. I think of Animal Shelters as overly stressful environments for
dogs and therefore do not think the dogs "true colors" come through. Ms. Miller
knew all about Sydney and everything she told me proved that much more helpful
in making a smooth adjustment for Sydney from Ms. Millers home to mine.
I was so impressed at how clean Ms. Miller keeps her home and how knowledgeable
she is about dogs. Her services went beyond the "call of duty"; I know I can turn
to her any time for help and advice. In fact, much of the success of Sydney's adoption
is due to the fact that Ms. Miller has continued to be an invaluable source of
information for me. When Sydney showed some behavior problems, I called Ms. Miller
and she taught me about humane discipline; when I had questions about diet and
nutrition, Ms. Miller knew the answers; when Sydney's skin broke out in a rash, I
received medication for her; and finally when Sydney had a true medical emergency,
Ms. Miller was there for me. She even went to the vet with me to make sure that
Sydney was being given all the right tests to get to the bottom of her problem. She
has held my hand every step of the way when I needed it.
This is service I would not have gotten at an Animal Shelter or even from
most private parties!
I am so glad I adopted Sydney from Samantha Miller at All Terrier Rescue.
Sydney is truly the light of my life. Ms. MIller made the perfect match for
me with Sydney and we are working out splendidly. All adoptions should be this great!
If you would like to contact me, please feel free to call me at (503) ***-****.
Thank you very much,
Benita

Dear Jeri & Samantha:
We received your newsletter and we wanted to send you an update on Goldie.
As you can see from her picture she has really changed. It breaks my heart that
her previous owner wanted her put to sleep because of her rash. She has so much hair now
that we're thinking of changing her name to Hairy. I think it was just a matter of
a few months before she recovered from her rash. I'm glad we looked beyond her terrible
rash and lack of hair and saw who she really was, a wonderful dog. Goldie has become
a true member of our family and we have the two of you to thank.
Goldie has become best friends with my ten-year-old son. She sleeps with him at
night. He puts his roller blades on and takes her for a run, or they play catch in the
back yard. One of Goldie's favorite things to do is play with rocks. She pushes them
around with her nose. When we wake up in the morning Goldie greets all of us with kisses ...
on our toes. If your not fully awake it can be a surprise. Goldie is very playful and
on more than one occasion she has sat on my daughter's stomach while she's on the floor
watching television. Goldie's our little protector. She greets all visitors with her
tail wagging. She loves people.
We are very fortunate to have found Goldie through your Terrier rescue. We told
our kids that as soon as we moved to a house with a yard we would get a dog. We moved in
June and by October Goldie was a member of our family. You can't forget about a promise
when you have kids. They won't let you forget.
Thank you for all that you do for the dogs that come to your home. Without the two of
you we wouldn't have found Goldie. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Scott, Sonja

Dear Jeri,
The job you do is an important one...
Thank you so much for finding MacDougal a wonderful new home. It was the right
thing to do for our family.
I have enclosed a cute picture of Mac. He was 2. Can you please send it on to
the new owner.
Thanks
Brenda & David

Hi both of you,
I want you two to know that we didn't get a dog from you we got a little lady.
We both are enjoying her company and she is doing just fine.
If there was ever an award for truth in advertising you two would get it hands down.
Roxy is just perfect for us and we will love and enjoy her to no end. She doesn't even bark when we eat dinner just lays there looking at us. Got her a bed and she sleeps all night right beside our bed.
Barb had wanted a dog for a long time and I am glad that she found your rescue service. I have great admiration for what you two are doing.
I don't know if you take contributions but we would like to give a little something ever once and a while to keep
you going in your endeavor -- let me know please. Again that's for the wonderful dog I really like her.
Gordon
